LiFi for Tunnels
Wireless communication is a huge challenege in underground construction sites.
DetailsUnderground manufacturing sites, mines and tunnels are extreme cases where both wired and wireless solution for communication fail. While wired systems are expensive and vulnerable to damage, low frequency wireless solutions also prove to be ineffective, Where they are not able to carry much useful information beyond some basic sensor readings due to extreme interference and attenuation. Also very low spatial resolution of wireless systems in these sites, does not enable seamless automation.
Li-Fi based communication systems are not influenced by the extreme conditions in these sites and can provide effective, reliable, and high speed data transmission.
